Welcome to Chefchaouen

The next day it was time to move on north toward the Andalusian-inspired town Chefchaouen. We stopped on the way to pick some freshly picked oranges. The man selling them seemed especially bored and took advantage of the opportunity to talk to Daniel.

Our first view of Chefchaouen.
Our appartment at Casa Annasr

Evanëlle was especially excited by the complementary sandals
The boys climbing up the 'minecraft wall'

We spent most of that evening getting lost in the Medina trying to find the Hammam so we could make a reservation for the next day. But it sure was a great place to get lost.
Some cats joined us for dinner on a restaurant balcony overlooking the main square

Entertaining ourselves with funny faces while we waited for the meal

Delicious dinner

Followed by delicious dessert. The boys were especially excited to get some crêpes.

After breakfast the next morning we headed out for some more exploring

Jonas was entertaining himself by putting mandarin orange peels on top of Evaëlle's head, for which he got smacked by this little old lady with her cane...

We went on a hike up the little church on the hill for some nice views over the city

Lunch on a restaurant rooftop

After a nice long day of getting sweaty and stinky, it was time for our haman experience
Getting ready to go in
Extremely relaxed on our way out. The one issue was that Evaëlle got a little too relaxed and went caca on the ground. But it was dealt with appropriately.

Another rooftop dinner
And of course we needed to finish it off with a crêpe
And gâteau and mint tea for the adults

A wonderful end to a wonderful day!
