Christmas in Masada

"Christmas morning" the kids found their stocking and openned their gifts.

Then they enjoyed yet another nice long jacuzzi bath while Daniel and  I enjoyed breakfast on the terrasse.

 And camels

After a relaxing "Christmas" morning, we headed out to visit Masada, and ancient fortification overlooking the Dead Sea where Herod the Great had built temples.

We had a  visit, but as we were hiking down, Jaxon did some calculations and realized that we had decieved him as the the real day of Christmas, and was upset because he felt that we had gypped him out of a vacation day. Jonas shared the feeling. From then on, each time that I tried to refer to the day as Christmas, they called me out immediately.

After Masada we drove a couple of hours to reach old Jaffa and to spend the afternoon/evening there.

What turned out to be one of our most memorable dinners ever, with 25 all-you-can-eat salads, fresh lemonade, and local fish. Needless to say, we overate.

Our last night we spent in an upstairs appartment of a very nice family.
Homemade breakfast, then it was time to get back on the plane and head home.
Once we arrived home, the grand present openning extravaganza begin, but Evaëlle was a bit too exhausted to truly enjoy.

It was really a fantastic trip, just too short. We decided that we need to head back to Israel as soon as we have the chance.
