Birthday weekend: Europa Park

For the boys' birthdays this year we decided to take them to Europa Park, an amusement park about 3 hours from where we live. It was more for Jaxon's birthday than Jonas's, as it was right before his, but we tried to stress that it was for both of them so as too avoid too many of the "It's MY birthday" statements.
We drove up to Alsace of Friday night and enjoyed some of the famous cuisine at the hotel.
The next morning we headed to Europa Park. It was our first time to go, for some strange reason. It was really great. All of our friends who have done Europa Park and Disneyland Paris say they prefer coming here. The theme is Europe and they have seven different countries represented.

While Jaxon and I were on the Space Mountain-type roller coaster Jonas crashed a birthday party.
He even won musical chairs

Evaelle's first time on a merry-go-round
I like this picture with the Muslim woman behind us. Whenever Eva is wearing her little kerchiefs Jaxon always says, "She looks like she is Muselim" (his mix between English Muslim and French Musulmane)
Evaelle really had a blast. There were so many things to see!

It is so much fun watching her discover her world
We ate in Scandinavia- shrimp and pickled herring sandwiches.
The boys on the river rafting ride.
Jaxon was tired by the time we made it to this roller coaster that I wanted a buddy on. It took quite a bit of peer pressure, but he finally obliged. And of course he said it was his favorite ride afterward.
Ending the day with a little bit of Barbapapa
