The previous day had been so pleasant that I announced in the morning, "I want to have the exact same day that we had yesterday." At least we started off a little different with some mint tea and oranges for breakfast overlooked our view of the sea. The boys helped prepare the tea by pulling off the mint and verveine leaves.
We set off the explore again after breakfast. So back to the market
Spice shop.

Little did Jaxon know he was about to get an education on where his food comes from. He started out a little sad by this. Seeing goat heads lying on the ground made it seem a little to real to him.
Then we stumbled upon what may at first glance seem to be a petting zoo. But no, it is the butcher area. Turkeys, bunnies, chickens. When I asked the chicken man if I could take a picture he invited the boys into the coop. It was all fun and games until Jaxon watched a chicken be taken away and scream before having his head chopped off. Let's just say it was a little traumatic. He has now decided he wants to be a vegetarian, hot dogs excluded, of course.
Afterward we visited a spice shop and were invited for tea again. We had a good time talking with the two young guys running the shop. Afterward one of them took us to the fish market to pick out some fish to have grilled up at the local grill.
With our fish and shrimp in tow, he took us to the local fish grill.
We ate up on the terrasse with a great view
This was right below us. We are not quite sure what it was, but there were some people selling stuff in there.
Our meal. No silverware allowed. It was fun eating the whole thing with our hands. Jaxon approved. This local joint was free of any tourists which we loved. Our friend from the spice shop came and joined us for awhile. Good thing-it was way too much food for us.
The final product. Jonas had to go to the bathroom once the food arrived. He was a good sport and held it for the team so we could enjoy the fish while it was hot.
After such a satisfying meal, what better than to head out for a dip in the ocean
This guy came around to try to sell us some more of the Moroccan gateaux, but by this time I don't think any one of us was enthusiastic about them, and for my part, I think I may have vomited if I ate another one. Looking at them was more than enough for me. He got pretty grouchy with us when we didn't want to buy any. Probably because if he doesn't sell them he has to eat them himself.
These sunsets never got old.
I loved how in the morning we set at to have the same day as the previous one, but it turned out so different and spectacular.
