For Easter vacation this year we decided to head to the land of vampires and visit Romania. We started with an early morning flight from Geneva to Cluj Napoca, picked up the rental car and took off for the Marmures region, near the border of Ukraine.
After a nice long car ride we arrived at our traditional homestay.
Marmures is apparently the last thriving peasant community in Europe, well known for its carved wooden gates and wooden churches.
Iulia, our lovely host prepared us a delicious dinner of regional specialties
