The next day after breakfast we headed over to visit Fes. We decided to do a day trip using public transportation to spare Daniel a day of driving. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Unfortunately, the trains were not as regular from Mèknes as we thought. We arrived at the train station at 9h45, just after the last train had left and saw that the next one was not until 11h45. So we waited. And then when the train was supposed to come, it never did. Apparently the track was blocked somewhere. So we waited some more. For over an hour. Eventually, however, we did make it on a train.
We had not toys, but Jonas had fun with a wipe.
Daniel made a friend.
We had to take two separate taxis to the Medina--that is how big our family has gotten.
Visiting the tannery in Fes. They give you mint leaves to smell to cover up the odor so you can enjoy the sight. It was really amazing to see the place in action.
Then we headed into the souqs.
A late lunch on a roof top
Buying Jonas some Babouches
Fes definately deserved more time than we were able to dedicate to it. Next time!
Those wipes are a life saver ;) Everything you do is so exotic and exciting. Do you ever get bored?
