The castles of Bellinzona
I had toyed with staying with the kids in Tocino for a couple extra days, but an unexpected lice infestation called us home. As we headed home we stopped for a visit to the beautiful castles of Bellinzona
Evaëlle found this spot and was not about to leave again.
Due to a GPS malfunction, we ended up along the Route Nationale that took us through Valais over the Simplon pass back home, rather than on the highway. We were a little nervous at first, as we were not entirely sure the pass would be open, but it ended up to be very scenic drive.
Our heaven-sent pharmacy; the only one we found open on Easter Monday in the middle of the mountains.
With the kids getting ahold of the camera we got lots of pictures of chickens and this up-close of Jonas's eye
A stop-off for dinner at the border
Snow at the pass, but we made it through!

Wow! What incredible pictures. (Especially Evaelle's darling squishy cheeks!) I always love when you update your blog and I get to enjoy the best sights Europe has to offer.
