Our first stop in the USA was Seattle, where my brother Matt and his family met us to spend a couple of days in the area. We met up at the Woodland Park zoo. I wasn't sure how the kids would hold up, seeing as they only had had about 3 hours of sleep the night before, but seeing their cousins, Ryan, Kylee and Dallin, gave them a huge boost of adrenaline that didn't wear off before we left Seattle. At the zoo the five of them all started running around like crazy people...and then never really stopped. They didn't seem to be particularly interested in the animals, who were clearly much less interesting than their cousins, but we tried to encourage them to take a look anyway

After the zoo we headed down to the Pier
The next day we visited the Seattle Pacific Science Center.
Then the kids took some time to run in the fountain.
Only in America
Evaelle even got in on the action, which she enjoyed until an unruly fountain caught us off guard
