Spring!!

 This is an old post from March that accidentally got erased, but it is still worth posting!

Jonas's Birthday

For Jonas's birthday activity we spent the day at Aquaparc. It was fun for everyone, but Evaelle really loved it. We had gone before with her, but she was so little she didn't even notice. Now loved it this time!

The next day was Jonas's actual birthday. After church we had a little barbeque up at Chenes des Bois, one of our favorite spots here. We brought Evaelle's portable bed, thinking she might sleep, but no such luck. The boys sure had a great time playing with here while she was in it, however.

Then we headed home a did birthday presents. I had gotten some small things for Jonas, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a badminton set. We had another surprise for him, but he was so excited about the things that he had gotten. He kept on saying, "Thank you, mom, for the chalk. Thank you, mom, for the bubbles..."

The we went downstairs and he found his big birthday surprise-a brand new bike! He was so excited. He always gets Jaxon's hand-me-down bikes, scooters, etc., so he was thrilled to have a new bike all of his own. (Lucky for him, the one Jaxon had in this side is broken). It was fun to see him excited about his new bike, but I have to say, there is is part of me that was sad since he had already be so excited about and grateful for the little things...

He really wanted me to take a picture of his bike "all by itself."

Birthday trip: Basel Zoo

The next day we headed to the Basel zoo on our way home.

A couple days later we celebrated Jaxon's real birthday.

I bought these Abraham Lincoln stickers when I was at a conference in Washington D.C. a year and a half ago.

Jaxon has been begging me for a nerf gun and I finally caved. Now he just has to fight his dad for it.

We sure love this boy!
